MaryAnne is retired from the world of Advertising, Marketing, HR and Development. In between raising her family, MaryAnne enjoyed careers in both for-profit and not-for-profit sectors. She spent her years in advertising whensmall Canadian advertising agencies were disappearing through mergers and acquisitions, often by American companies,and when Canadian advertisers often used ads and commercials conceived and produced in the U.S. Her career path changed with the times. MaryAnne loved a challenge and jumped into a marketing position for a health-care company, had her eyes opened in HR at the world’s largest spirits producer, but, most notably for her, were the years in Community Outreach and Development at Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Canada where she felt her efforts made the most difference in today’s changing world.
