New Show! Opens Oct. 23, 6:00-9:00 pm
Join us for the opening of Lesja Cymbaly’s show Friday, Oct. 23 from 6-9pm at Back Lane Studios.
In this exhibition, Lesja’s curiosity takes her to see what lurks beneath the surface. Her portraits always full of whimsy, transform sadness into humour; weariness, into enthusiasm. Even her still lifes are birthed with full and complex personalities.
A critic recently wrote that Lesja’s work has “precision and something raw, almost unsettling. The result is . . . singular, sometimes disorienting. . . but always alive. One cannot remain indifferent, one either loves or recoils but never passes through your universe untouched. Your work moves me deeply.”

Abstract artist Liz “Ela” Szymczak gathered friends and family for a five-person show at Back Lane Studios, 9 Neepawa Ave. in Roncesvalles.
They are calling the exhibit “Undefined” — each of the five artists takes a different approach to their work.
The show opened closes on Saturday, Oct. 17, noon – 4:00 pm.
